Get Their Attention! (5 minutes) Materials: Zingo Monster Puppet
WELCOME kids to our FearBusters Lab. EXPLAIN that in our lab, we are FearBusters who work hard to say “bye, bye, bye” to all the things that scare us and our monster friends. INTRODUCE & PASS Zingo Monster Puppet by saying:
Need to Know:
Meet Zingo Monster! (Hold Up Puppet)
When I’m Scared, (make scared face)
Everyone give a ROARsome “Hello” to Zingo! (Everyone waves & says “Hello”.)
God Keeps (point up)
When Zingo Monster comes to you, in your best monster voice, tell him your name. (Kids will PASS puppet & introduce themselves to puppet.)
Me Safe! (hug self)
AFTER all kids have been introduced, SAY & DO the following: Have you ever been scared of something? (Allow responses.)
Materials: Zingo Monster Puppet Paper Plates Washable Markers Sample Plate Paper Bag (w/FearBusters Cards inside)
We all get scared sometimes. Even our monster friends get scared sometimes, too. Do you FearBusters want to help Zingo bust his fears? (Allow responses.) Then let’s tell him what we Need to Know today: When I’m Scared (make scared face), God Keeps (point up) Me Safe! (hug self)

Hand Sanitizer
Materials: Paper Plates, Washable Markers, Sample Plate, Paper Bag w/FearBusters Cards inside
Snacks
1. GIVE each child one Paper Plate & have them use washable markers to DRAW a happy face on one side of the plate and a scared face on the other side. Show sample plate if needed.
Coloring Sheets Filler Guide
Application Activity Summary: Kids will look at different pictures and use their Stick Friends to decide if the situation in the picture is scary. Then kids will use their Stick Friends to remember what we Need to Know today!
2. PLACE Paper Bag, with FearBusters Cards inside, in the middle of the group. 3. Allow each child to SELECT one FearBusters Card from Paper Bag, show to group & do one of the following: If the FearBusters Card IS something that makes kids feel scared, have kids show the scared face side of their paper plate. If the FearBusters Card is NOT something that makes kids feel scared, have kids show the happy face side of their paper plate. 4. Play until everyone has had a turn, or as time allows, and then SAY the following: When we are scared, we can know that God will keep us safe! This week, remember (have kids repeat after you): When I’m Scared (make scared face), God Keeps (point up) Me Safe! (hug self)

Wrap It Up (3 min)
Materials: Hand Sanitizer, Snacks, Coloring Sheets, Washable Markers, Filler Guide
PRAY with your group, having them repeat the following after you in short phrases. Dear God, I love you! Please keep me safe every day. Thank you for my snack. I love you! In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!

SANITIZE hands with hand sanitizer & PASS OUT snacks.
He freed me (wave arms & make happy face)
GIVE each child a coloring sheet & marker. Ask questions on left to get to know your group as they color. Kids can also color the “Paper Plate Friends” they made during the Application Activity.
