REGISTRATION INFO Register online: www.chiefshockeyclub.org Spring Season Overview:
Once again this year, the Chiefs Hockey Club’s 2018 Spring Season will be uniquely designed to focus on the specific needs of each player, regardless of their skill or tenure. At one evaluation session, coaches will rate each player via multiple skills criteria and then players will be placed into groups containing players of similar skill levels. Player groupings and ice schedules will be published the week after evaluation. These groupings will allow coaches to specifically tailor practices to uniquely benefit each player’s particular needs. Additionally, internal Club games will be similarly grouped, allowing for much greater “in game” participation and puck possession by all players, regardless of their hockey skill level. With our Spring game model (no league play and no refs), your player’s time on the ice will also benefit! For example, a typical league game provides approximately 33 minutes of game time for players. In contrast, Spring player ice time will be closer to 50 minutes, as the coaches will serve as referees to keep game play moving along. Prioritizing on each player’s unique needs in the Spring season will best prepare all players for a great experience in the coming Fall/Winter season! Practices and games will once again be held at the Club’s home ice, The Edge in Bensenville. Go Chiefs! Spring Season Inclusions:
• 17+ Skills sessions, including internal club games • Two sessions per week: skills session and internal games • Experienced coaching at all levels with professional supervision by Chiefs Director of Player and Coach Development, Bruce Turpin • No jersey purchase requirement for new players, simply bring light and dark jerseys • Four goalie clinics by Chiefs goalie coach, Bob Moretti (separate, free registration required) • Goalies skate with their levels twice weekly + at clinics! • Mite and Squirt goalie gear provided by the Club • Four Girls’ clinics • Dedicated Power Skate clinics for all levels • Bantam checking clinics (included with registration fee) Questions? Payment Info and Discounts: • Sibling discounts will be applied to 2nd, 3rd and 4th child @ $75/ea. • Mite registrants to pay 100% of fee at registration. • Squirt-Bantam registrants to pay $250 at time of registration with balance due March 17. • Players with open balances after March 17 may be dropped from program. • If deposits are made via credit card, the balance will be paid automatically on March 17. • If paying by check, same deposit and balance schedule applies. • Make checks payable to “Chiefs Hockey Club” and send to: Chiefs, PO Box 1292, Elmhurst, IL 60126. • All deposits include a $150 non-refundable “evaluation fee”.
