Rockaway Valley Soccer League Meeting Minutes April 26, 2016 Present: Christine (President), Joe ( Vice President), Eric (Treasurer), Linda (Secretary), Natalie (Dover), Brian (Jefferson), Mike (Mine Hill), Eddie (Mt. Arlington), Brian and Tara (Wharton) Absent: Denville, Hackettstown, Long Valley, Parsippany, Roxbury
Treasury Report:
$4, 392.38 in checking No Bills Jersey Crew (Montville) owes money from last season Dover paid
Referee Report:
Rich absent from meeting: written report handed out at meeting. Clubs need to remind coaches and referees to fill out the game reports. Red/Yellow cards to date: 7 yellow- 2 red 2 Dover AA boys red carded and suspended one game for abusive language. Players eligible to play on 4/30/2016 (see written ref report for names) Bill for printer ink and paper for season - $77.41
New Business:
Suggestion to change names on game reports to last names rather than first names. Parsippany did not have player cards for kids yet as of meeting date. Wharton will be closing one of their fields (large field) for remainder of season due to poor field conditions and injuries. Discussion of bringing refs to Long Valley. Most towns determined they do not want to be responsible for providing youth refs to Long Valley games. (Liability and asking parents to drive were main complaints) Discussion of changes to age group brackets for the next season. * Next meeting the dates for new age brackets will be determined. *RVSL will NOT follow U.S Soccer field recommendations for U7 and under. Discussion about pushing back the start of the fall season 1 week. Will be clarified and decided on next meeting.
