Rockaway Valley Soccer League Meeting Minutes June 28, 2016 Present: Christine (President), Joe (Vice President), Eric (Treasurer), Linda (Secretary), Rich (Head Ref), Brian (Jefferson), Kurt (Hackettstown), Kevin (Parssippany) Absent: Denville, Long Valley, Roxbury, Mt. Arlington, Wharton, Mine Hill

Treasury Report:   

$3,616.94 in checking Bills Paid: $1,038.50- Ref scheduling Fee Jersey Crew (Montville) owes money from last season. They said they paid. Treasurer to check for cancelled check.

Referee Report:       

Received check for referee scheduling fee No major problems to report throughout the season. Concern about Mt. Arlington’s small sided field (Fireman’s field). Needs to be looked at for next year. Dimensions should be no less than 60, no more than75. Grade 9 Course to be offered before September through NJS. Cost will be $60. Grade 9’s doing C division must be 14 years old. Offer for assigning refs for lower division games still available. Towns currently taking advantage are Jefferson, Rockaway Borough and Mine Hill. Cost is $2.50 per game. Need to find our Ref status for Long Valley and Lenape Valley.

Discussion regarding concern Mt. Arlington had with Mine Hill coaches, parents, and players during C division game. Mt. Arlington and Mine Hill absent from meeting. No Referee report from either Jr. Referee. Attendance- Discussion about attendance at meetings. Should there be a penalty for not attending enough meetings? First Reading: 2 consecutive meetings missed by any town representative, club will receive $25 fine. Clause: League can waive fines if they find that there are legitimate reasons and notifications. Age Chart- add to bi-laws C Division- no ’06 and ’07 teams New Junior Ref course – being offered this summer. Date to be determined

 

Rutgers course offered through Rockaway Township before September. Date to bedetermined. Green Sheets due August 13th
