Sacred Heart Reception Newsletter Friday 30th June
Wow Wednesday Our next Wow Wednesday session will take place on the 5th July. Parents are welcome into school to share their child’s wonderful work between 8.30-8.50am and 3.10-3.30pm. We hope to see you there! School Trip The children should have received a letter yesterday, explaining the details for our school trip to Gibside on Tuesday 18th July. Consent and payment for this trip is made via Parent Pay. Learning Update We continue to work super hard although the summer holidays are fast approaching. The children have been trying hard this week to remember their High Frequency and Tricky words and to use them in their writing. Please encourage this at home and help children to notice the words in the environment. Again this will help the children succeed in their writing in Year 1.
Upcoming Dates Tuesday 11 July: Sports Morning (9.30am-11am) LH – Y2 Tuesday 11 July: Sports Afternoon (1pm-2.30pm) Y3-Y6 Wednesday 12 July: Reception Liturgy @ 9am Thursday 13 July: Sports Day Reserve Day Friday 14 July: Non uniform day for summer fair Saturday 15 July: Summer Fayre (DATE CHANGE) Wednesday 19 July: Macmillan Non-Uniform Day £1 Wednesday 19 July: Y6 leavers mass (in church) Wednesday 19 July: Leavers Disco. 3.30pm-5.30pm
So...what has happened in Reception Class this week? We visited Little Hearts and had a lovely time holding the baby chicks. We had to check Mrs Bowes’ pockets as she left...she was desperate to take one home!
We made beautiful flags to celebrate the Day of Many colours.
