Sacred Heart Reception Newsletter Issue 24– Friday 29th March Once again, well done to the children for working hard throughout another term. We would like to wish you all a very Holy and Happy Easter. Liturgies On Tuesday , reception B welcomed their family and friends into their classroom to share our pre-Easter celebrations in our liturgy based on 'The Last Supper'. It was an amazing turn out and the children sang and read their words beautifully. Well done Reception Fairy-tale Castle Role Play After half term, we will be changing our current dinosaur role play area into a fairy tale castle. If anybody has anything they feel they could donate we would greatly appreciate it. Facebook We understand that everyone uses social media these days and that often posts are really positive about school, but on occasion we do hear about negative comments regarding school being posted on personal accounts, private class parent groups and other local pages. (Actually we always hear if there are negative posts!) We do pride ourselves in being a very open, approachable school and staff, and as you are all aware I am on the playground in all weathers, all of the time! I would like to ask our whole school community to think carefully about the information and comments which we post online. Please remember that posts can be one sided, can be taken out of context, inaccurate and can further agitate the situation. As responsible adults it’s important that we all consider the potential impact and implications posting such content may have on us and our families as well as other members of the school community. I would also like to remind all parents/carers about the need for us all to work in partnership together to promote responsible internet use and also to highlight how important your role is in setting a good example of positive and responsible online behaviour for your child(ren). In the event that any pupil, parent/carer or family member of children at our school is found to be posting libellous, defamatory, malicious, threatening or inflammatory emails, phone or social network messages they will be dealt with in line with our social media policy. We also do not tolerate posts that are disrespectful to our Catholic faith and values. Please do talk to us; especially if you have concerns. If the incident is serious enough to post for everyone to see please tell us about it, then we can and will do something about your concerns. Can I also please remind parents that our official school Facebook page is meant to be a place where we can share things about our school, what we do and help update parents and carers of our children. We welcome positive and constructive interactions with our parents and carers and always look forward to sharing lots of information about our trips, lessons, visitors and activities. Any inappropriate comments that are left will be removed and may result in the user being blocked. Again, should you have any questions, concerns, complaints or queries about our school or your child's education, please contact the school directly so we can arrange a chance to discuss things with you.
