Executive Board Meeting Summary: (November 6th, 2013) o Skills and Drills 2014-Dianne Ness o Registration Update: 391 as of 11/6/13 o Sponsorship Update o USA Women’s Hockey Game o TV and DVD player o Gambling Partner Card Incentive o Barb Revere Monthly Gambling Report to Members: LG1010: o A1 Lawful Purpose Expenditures. Need BOD approval to allocate funds to these organizations from meat raffles at Pesty’s. Total amount to transfer: $150 x 2 to Apollo Astronettes, $150 to Tanner’s Team Foundation and $300 to Benton County Snowmobile Club. Motion to Approve:

The profits for the month before taxes were $25,928. Taxes paid during the current month were 2,976 leaving net income of $22,952 for the month. Those taxes were for the prior month. I estimate taxes associated with October’s activity to be approximately $10,000. The taxes will increase very rapidly from this point forward. Also, we will have a payment due to the City of Waite Park based on the Pesty’s activity. That amount is yet to be determined. Treasurers Report: D5 Report: (November 6th, 2013) Secretary’s Report: Posted on the D5 website. Treasurer’s Report: Invoices went out for scrimmages. Referee fees will be paid. Coach’s Report: Level 1 Clinic on Nov. 7th-68 registered, 7 spots left. Level 2 Clinic on Nov. 16th, 45 registered, 25 spots left. Level 3 Clinic on Nov. 23rd, 45 registered, 20 spots left. Level 4 Clinic will be held on Dec. 28, 29 in Bloomington at the Airport Marriot. Official’s Report: Level 1 clinic will be held on Sunday, Dec. 1st for 1st year officials @ STMA at 8am and in Sartell at 1pm. There was a discussion on new USA Hockey Game reports on misconducts and rule changes; D5 policy is that a suspension needs to be served in a D5 game unless in a tournament’s 1st or 2nd game, then it be served in next game of D5 weekend. Tournament’s Report: 21 day advance notification for tournament brackets, rules, check-in rules etc… MN Hockey Report: Roster Approval Day-everything went well. Looking ahead to next year at an electronic roster. Coaches-not excuses for coaches not having current certifications. There are more clinics offered now more than ever and they have had plenty of notice. Communication- D5 reps need to follow through on bringing back D5 info to their BOD’s. Try Hockey for Free days- a SUCCESS! League policies- refer to D5 Handbook. There is a new version on the website. Re-districting discussion-In December, MN Hockey Directors will get together. Old Business: Play-offs- Brackets are done (need places and times yet). New Business: League Coordinator- Bill Breeden-his contact info is in the handbook on Page 9. Game sheet policy will be enforced beginning December 1st. He will follow through with fines. Next Meeting: December 4th @ 7:00om @ RRR in Kimball.

Jr. Mites: 81-Try Hockey for Free Day was a success. 47 kids skated. We had three sign up from those 47. The 2nd Try Hockey for Free Day is this weekend.

Mites: 84-Teams are set and ready to go. There were 28 requests. The Mite D team is set.

Registration #’s: 389-Still hoping for more jr. mites and mites.
New Business: Concussion Testing: Peewees/12U’s and Bantams/14U’s will have this scheduled. It will cost $10 a player. Association will pick up the cost. Parents will pay if a re-do is needed. Note has been sent out to coordinators. Motion to approve: Kurt M. Seconded by Jared D. Vote passed.
