2016 SEALL Batting Cage Policy The batting cages have been built by Southeast Arlington Little League and will be available for use by current season teams. When not in use, the cages will remain locked. Head coaches will have the current combination and will be required to lock the gate when they leave. Additionally, all teams this will be allowed to use cages for hitting practices. Cages are open to all teams and will be available on a first come, first served basis. In the event that there are more teams wanting to practice than there are available cages we ask that you limit your time to 30 minutes in order to allow additional teams the opportunity to use the facility as well. The cages will be open for hitting practice on game nights from 6:00 – 6:45 pm on a first come, first served basis for teams not playing games that night. Beginning at 6:45pm, the cages will be used for teams warming up for 8:00pm games. The lock combinations are NOT to be given out except to your assistant coaches only, however head coaches are ultimately responsible for team behavior.

Managers are responsible to lock the cages after completion of your hitting practice.

There are NO metal spikes allowed in the batting cages EVER.

All hitters MUST WEAR a batting helmet when in the cage.

Warm up throwing/pitching as well as soft toss/pickle ball hitting around the outside or near the cages during practice time or on game days is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

ONLY one adult (pitching) and one player (hitting) in the cage at a time. NO additional adults or players are allowed in the cage during any “live” hitting session.

We must use the cages safely. With up to 44 kids (4 teams x 11 kids per team) all standing in close proximity, each with a bat in hand, please emphasize safety. Our recommendation is that if players are not batting, those player’s bats should not be in their hands but rather put away to avoid any potential issues.
