Seniors on the MOVE with Jesus! Hi Everybody and a Happy and Healthy Good Afternoon to you! We need to put on our Potluckin’ duds and roll up our sleeves to make something delicious, then pile into our vehicles and get movin’ to our Kick-Off Seniors’ Lunch on Thursday, September 14th. We gather in the church Multi-purpose room at noon or so and sit down to pray and eat at 12:30PM. It will be good to greet all the people we haven’t seen at our summer Potluck BBQ’s. Come to help set up at 11:30AM. Our table of FREE items will start up again that day so we can each bring one quality donation to give away. Then when we get a moment, we can look through those items and take one home! YEP! THEY’RE AFTER OUR MONEY AGAIN! Those computer scam artists need to understand that we have Jesus looking over our shoulder to help us think! Their latest attack against this computer was to have a big pop-up nearly fill the screen with the warning that something had frozen our equipment and we would need to phone the number printed there to get help. We were further warned that a scam artist was doing this to get our personal information. So before touching anything we phoned our family computer expert instead who told us this: The person sending this scam attempt cannot search any of our personal information until we use that phone number printed in the pop-up! And when we do ---- you guessed it ---- there’s a hefty fee for unfreezing the computer. Our expert advised us to unplug the computer, let it sit for ten minutes, then plug it in again. We did and Voila! The popup vanished! Bible Study: Why didn’t they play cards on the ark?

IS YOUR HEAD SPINNING FOR ANSWERS? There are plenty of important decisions to make as Seniors. Do we help our spouse onto Medicaid? Is Memory Care on option we can afford? How do we know when we need it? Do we need some Skilled Nursing now? Where do we find a good person for this? How do we interview Skilled Care providers? What questions will give us clues to their competency? How do we contact other people they have worked with? What about Aid to Veterans? What are some of the other most-asked questions? Carrie Coumbs will be available to give us answers at our September 14th Potluck. We can come prepared with a list of our questions and fears. HERE’S A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO ALL OF US: Alan and Nancy Ribeira pass this greeting along: ___“Nancy and I would like to thank all of the Seniors and a special THANK YOU to Pastor Bob and Alicia for all the help we have gotten since picking up from Ron and Joyce Paulson. We have much to do and more to give. We need Drivers and Helpers to work with the Seniors and our Church. We need to know your wants and wishes and how we can make our ‘Seniors on the Move with Jesus’ better. Nancy and I are only a phone call, email or text message away. We want to make sure the rest of our Church knows about us, and we will get our message out and help each other. We may be getting older and slower but we are TENACIOUS!” Now there’s an approach we can all get on board with!

Here are Some Ways To Get TENACIOUS Together! “. . . And the Seniors went forth that day Joyful and with a [tenaciously] glad heart.” (Always our Guideline, Paraphrased from Esther 5:9 KJV.)
