September 7, 2016 Newsletter Dear Fellow Disciple,
Morph is sponsoring a Parents Night Out on September 10 from 5 to 8 pm for the parents of infants through 5th grade.
Choir practice resumes September 11 at 5 pm.
Millie will be out of the office Sep. 13th – 19th.
In the middle of the series I am doing, I am pleased to welcome Dale Turner to the pulpit this coming Sunday. In his own life the Lord called Dale to the mission field in Turkey five and a half years ago. In unlimited obedience Dale answered the Lord’s call. I had the opportunity to spend some time with Dale recently and was encouraged and stoked by his passion for the gospel. He loves God and loves people, so much so Dale has given his life to telling others about Christ and discipling them to be disciples. The Lord has gifted Dale uniquely in his calling as fulfills the Great Commission. Please join us as Dale shares his life/ministry in Turkey and shares the gospel with us. May the Lord bless our time of worship together. Also, we would like give you an opportunity to bless Dale with a love offering. There will be a specific time to take up the love offering. Invitation to Women The Cleveland County Women’s Prayer Ministry will be meeting Tuesday evening, September 13 at 7:00 p.m. at Christ Covenant Church, 1050 Sam Lattimore Rd (across from Riverbend Golf Course). An update on the Heart2Heart Women’s and Children’s Shelter and our 20162017 prayer focus for Cleveland County will be given. We are an interdenominational prayer group. For more information, contact Elaine Ashley at 704-418-0786.
Classes begin this Sunday at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall. Call the Church Office to register! Summary Report of funds given through the Baptist State Convention ending June 30, 2016 (Please note: most monthly checks are counted in the following month.)
The Carillon Assisted Living has contacted our Church to see if anyone is interested in teaching a Sunday School lesson during the week or on Sunday to their residents. They are asking for about a 30 minute class. If you are interested, please contact Rick Bowling, Myles Whitaker or Shirley Brown. Thanks in advance!
