Don’t be afraid of knits! They are easier to sew than you think. In this class, we will make a simple knit top. It can be made with either a serger or a regular sewing machine. You will need basic garment-making skills and your own serger/machine.
General supplies needed: Fabric (please pre-wash) Any notions needed for your pattern Fray-check seam sealant Wonder Tape or water soluble fabric stabilizer Clear elastic, Seams Great sheer seam tape, or fusible tricot interfacing (for stabilizing shoulder seams) You will need two spools of matching thread (for twin needle hemming) Straight pins and pin holder Tissue paper and scotch tape (if necessary, for fitting) Marking tools Tape measure Scissors for cutting fabric Small scissors for clipping seams and threads Recommended book: Sew Knits with Confidence by: Nancy Zieman
