SWA provided landscape architectural services for the high-end Shanghai Greentown Rose Garden residential development, including its 44,000 sq. ft. clubhouse facility and the unique surrounding landscape, which is the visual centerpiece of this exclusive community. Paving patterns, wall systems, fountains, parterre gardens, and clipped hedges were carefully designed to relate to both the clubhouse architectural style and the natural aesthetic of this forested, water-oriented community. The outdoor pool has an infinity edge, evoking the sense of water flowing into the lake. A central multiuse grand lawn extends the view corridor and provides space for group activities. Enclaves adjacent to the central lawn area are designated for tranquil activities. The area next to a restored church was surrounded with water, and a pedestrian bridge was built to connect this island to the main clubhouse site. SWA Group: www.swagroup.com
