SHARE THE GOOD NEWS
WEEK 4 MY STORY
1. Why it important to share our story of how God changed our lives forever? We have been called by God to share the truth of His Good News.
Small Group Welcome
Choose a few review questions.
1. Introduce yourself, and welcome new kids by name.
1. Why is it our mission to share God’s Good News? Jesus told us to; people need to know it so they can be friends with God now and live with Him forever when they die.
2. Kids share what happened during the past week. 3. Check up on past week’s prayer requests and events.
2. What does it mean to give your testimony about God? It means to tell the true story of what God has done for you and how following Jesus has changed you.
4. Discuss the Welcome Question: If you could be anybody, who would you be?
3. Why do you think it’s important to share your testimony? Answers will vary.
Small Group Activity
4. What can you do if you’re nervous about sharing your testimony? Pray for help from God, read about people in the Bible who didn’t give up, ask a friend to help you, etc.

1. Give each kid a My Story activity sheet. Say: When you choose to trust and follow Jesus, you have a true story of what God has done for you and how Jesus has changed you. That’s your testimony about God! Let’s make a book about our stories!
2. Where can you share your testimony this week, besides just at church? Answers will vary.
2. Kids cut activity sheet in half on the solid line.
Pray Together
3. Kids stack halves on top of one another with the cover half on top.
1. Ask kids to share things they’d like you to pray about.
4. Kids fold stack in the middle with the cover side out.
3. Pray together over all the prayer requests.
5. Staple the books on the fold for the kids. 6. If time allows, kids draw pictures or write in the book to show their story.
Not sure what to pray? Pray this: God, please give me the courage to share my testimony even when I’m nervous or scared. In Jesus’ name, amen!
