I can show love to share God’s Good News. 1 John 3:18 NIRV … don’t just talk about love. Put your love into action. Then it will truly be love.

SHARE THE GOOD NEWS WEEK 2 MY LOVE

1. What does it mean to put your love into action? Do things that show God’s love.

Small Group Welcome

Choose a few review questions.

1. Introduce yourself, and welcome new kids by name.

Why is it our mission to share God’s Good News? Jesus told us to; people need to know it so they can be friends with God now and live with Him forever when they die.

Who are we supposed to share God’s love with? Everyone in the whole world

3.

When is it hard for you to show God’s love to someone? Answers will vary.

2. Kids share what happened during the past week. 3. Check up on past week’s prayer requests and events. 4. Discuss the Welcome Question: What games do you like to play?

Small Group Activity

4. What can do if you don’t feel like sharing God’s love with someone? Pray for God’s help and courage, forgive people if you’re mad at them, ask a friend to help you, etc.

You’ll Need • Jumbo die (1 per group) • Dice Game activity supplement (1 per group)

To Do Say: We’re gonna play a game to help us remember to love everybody, not just the people we know and like.

Choose an action step question.

1. Choose a kid to roll the die.

1. How can you put your love into action this week? Answers will vary.

2. Read the statement from the Dice Game activity supplement that corresponds to the number they rolled.

2. If you see someone who’s lonely or left out, how can you share God’s love with them? Be their friend, sit with them at lunch, invite them to play a game, talk, etc.

3. If the statement shows love to everybody, the kid stands up. If they rolled a number that leaves people out, they stay seated.

Pray Together 1. Ask kids to share things they’d like you to pray about.

4. Pass the die and continue playing until each kid in your group is standing up.

2. Write down their prayer requests.

Note: Skip kids who are already standing until all kids in your group have landed on a statement that loves everybody.

Not sure what to pray? Pray this: God, help me put my love into action so I can share Your Good News with everyone. In Jesus’ name, amen!

3. Pray together over all the prayer requests.

Check Out 1. Continue talking, play the game again, and discuss earning points by returning the Challenge Card. 2. When a kid from your Small Group leaves, say something positive and specific to their family. 3. Encourage families to do the Challenge Card together.
