We collected $25,735 in registration fees and $20,465 in fundraising revenues. The finance report also reflects the deposit of the insurance check from the Majors concession stand break-in ($1,158).

Player Agent (Steve Viviano) • Steve Viviano reported that total registration for the 2009 season is approximately 470 players. This is consistent with last year’s totals. Secretary (John Rogalski) • We have received the insurance check from Lloyd’s to cover the losses sustained during the Majors Concession stand break- in. John gave the check to Tom Carroll for deposit. • John Rogalski has signed the contract with the Aqua Turf for our year end banquet/meeting. John mentioned that we will want to begin banquet planning discussions at either the May or June meeting. • John Rogalski reminded the Board that the 2009 Bator Scholarship Award winners would need to be decided at the executive session following the meeting. New Business • Steve Kalkowski has asked the Board to consider chartering a senior league team for 1618 year olds. There are leagues that run concurrent with the Babe Ruth season and there are leagues that run after the high school season is finished. Bill Queen will contact Steve Kalkowski for additional detail. • Jeff Van Kirk has resigned as the Safety Officer. Carlos Gil completed the ASAP Safety Plan and submitted it to District by the April 1 st deadline. Many thanks to Carlos Gil for stepping up to handle this task. • Carlos Gil will get the volunteer applications from Jeff Van Kirk so that background checks can be completed. • The Safety Officer position needs to be filled. Bob Borkowski has expressed interest in filling this position. John Cole will approach Dave Nichols for a quote. John recommends that the fields be cut twice per week.

Steve Fabian mentioned that if any team wishes to scrimmage against another team in town, Steve needs to know so that the appropriate paperwork can be filed with District. Steve Fabian shared the following notes from March’s District 5 meeting. o The tournament enrollment form will be arriving in April. o If the Player Agent wishes to coach an All-Star team, a waiver request has to be submitted to District by June 2nd. o If a player is pulled from the replacement list to play for another team, he should not receive more playing time than a player that is already on that team’s roster. o Steve Fabian has recommended that SNB donate $100 to Jack Barry to help them recover from their flood. The Board approved this recommendation. o All bats used in 2009 must have a BPF of 1.15 or below and must be clearly marked. Bats that do not have this marking, and have not received an exemption for the season, may not be used. If anyone is unsure of whether a bat without this marking has been approved, they should refer to the Little League website. o The April District 5 meeting will be Thursday, April 16th @ 8:00 P.M.
