St. Patrick – St. Vincent High School Tuition Assistance, 2017 – 2018 School Year Tuition assistance is available for families who demonstrate financial need. If you are unsure about whether you would qualify for tuition assistance, we recommend that you apply. To demonstrate financial need, families must submit to TADS an aid application for the 2017 – 2018 school year, including payment and all required documents. Please complete your TADS application between November 1, 2016 to January 27, 2017. Please apply at least 2 weeks prior to the deadline to allow time to submit supporting documents. Failure to provide all necessary documents by the deadline may result in your application being placed on hold. Notification of Awards Families who have completed their applications by the January 27, 2017 deadline will be notified of the disposition of their requests for assistance beginning February 27, 2017. TADS Aid Application, Section 20, Special Circumstances Please pay particular attention to “Section 20 Special Circumstances” on the TADS Aid Application. If you make a selection in this section, please write a letter providing more information about the issue, and send the letter to TADS. Review of Applications for Tuition Assistance The review of all applications for tuition assistance includes two phases.

Phase I When the application is complete, all supporting documents are received, and any additional questions are answered, TADS, an independent service bureau, analyzes the information submitted by the family, calculates the level of financial need, and makes a recommendation to the school. Phase II After reviewing each application, supporting documents requested by TADS, TADS’ recommendation, and the school’s Financial Assistance budget, the school’s Tuition Assistance Committee decides case-by-case whether to award assistance and, if so, the amount of the award. Because the total amount of need identified by TADS always exceeds the school’s financial resources, we are seldom able to award the entire amount recommended by TADS; however, the school makes every effort to reduce the financial burden of its families. Please note that the school’s Tuition Assistance Committee will not review an application until TADS has received (1) all documents that it has requested and (2) answers to any additional questions it has asked the family. Confidentially The Tuition Assistance Committee treats its review of applications for Tuition Assistance confidentially. The Committee shares information with others only on a need-to-know basis.
