The inspection report will be published in a couple of week’s time, so long as all runs smoothly at the ‘other end.’ Road Safety Day We had a great visit on Monday from a road safety team, who worked with all classes, improving and developing their understanding of how to stay safe around roads. They are keen to work with the school on further safety projects, so we are exploring other topics they might cover.

Sports Afternoon The sun shone and the children were great! Thank you to all the parents who joined us, supporting and cheering the children on and running in the parents’ races! It was a good afternoon, with all the children succeeding in the team games and enjoying the competitive elements too. Many thanks go to all the staff for their help in preparing, setting up and clearing up.
Wednesday 24th June District Sports Homework club cancelled
UK Junior Mathematical Challenge 2015 Huge congratulations to Rory and Oliver who participated in a national mathematics competition aimed at year 8 pupils. Both boys received Silver Certificates, reflecting very high scores and their determination and persistence to achieve on some very challenging problems. Well done boys!

Residential Trip Please send passports, EHICs and euros (in a named purse/wallet) into school next week. Sevenoaks Summer Festival – Saturday 20th June I hope to see lots of the children at the Sevenoaks Summer Festival tomorrow. Please meet me in Bligh’s car park at 9.50am. Children should wear jeans/dark plain leggings and a bright plain t-shirt. Homework Club – Wednesday 24th June and 1st July – CANCELLED Homework club will NOT run on Wednesday 24th June or 1st July. Athletics Club – Thursday 2nd July – CANCELLED Athletics club will NOT run on Thursday 2nd July. Young Person’s Travel Pass – Academic Year 2015-2016 The Young Persons Travel Pass provides unlimited access to the Kent public bus network for young people Monday to Friday between 6.00am and 7.00pm, for a single annual fee of £250 for 2015/2016. For parents of year 6 children moving onto new schools in September please note that if you wish to purchase a Young Person’s Travel Pass to be available from the start of term in September, you must apply to KCC by Friday 17th July, on-line via www.kent.gov.uk. Class Photographs - reminder Proofs of the class photos were sent out last week in bookbags. The deadline for orders is Thursday 25th June.

Stepping Stones Pre-School Stepping Stones are looking for a manager from September to take leadership of the pre-school. The applicant needs to have a minimum of an Early Years Level 3 qualification and will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS.
