Why do Time Trials? Time Trials determines your swimmers base time for future meets. They also give your swimmer the opportunity to swim all of their events! If your swimmer is NOT able to attend, please let our coaches know as soon as possible, it is very important to have a time!
• The Shocksheet Meet our Head Coaches
Hello Shockwaves! My name is Coach Almanza andI am the coach for the 11 and up Shockwaves. I began swimming at the age of 3, and began swimming competitively in Jr. High and high school. I began coaching high school swimming in 2009 at Cypress Woods High School. While there, I helped coach two state champions and one Olympian. I have been the head coach at Tomball Memorial High School for the last 2 years, where we've made a tradition of going to state each year. I'm also a mom of two rambunctious toddlers, two-year-old Grayson and oneyear-old Tomas. I’m also the wife of 9 years to my incredibly supportive husband Daniel. I'm so excited to be returning to the Shockwaves for my second year, I'm ready for a great season!
HOWDY! My name is Coach Kaiser, and I am the Head Coach of the 10 & Under Shockwaves. I began swimming competitively at the age of four, and I continued swimming in the Northwest Aquatic League for 14 years. In the summer of 1999, I started coaching in NWAL, and I coached with the same team for 12 years before my family and I moved to Tomball. This year is my second year as the Assistant Swim Coach at Tomball Memorial High School, where I also teach 10th and 11th grade English. I am also the mom of two energetic girls, ages 8 and 3, and the wife of almost 13 years to my husband Scott, whom I met while at school at Texas A & M University (WHOOP!). During my summer spare time, I combine my two passions and enjoy reading by the pool. I'm looking forward to an exciting and fun season with the Shockwaves!

Team Suits The Shockwaves are a unified and awesome team so we do require that all swimmers wear the official Shockwaves swimsuits at our meets. Female swimmers are also required to wear swim caps that we provide. Our team suits are available at D & J Sports, located on Spring Cypress across from WalMart. The suits are two-year suits which means we will wear the same design in 2016. With that in mind please only wear them at the meets, wash them gently, and they will look great much longer.
Private Lessons Lessons are $20 for 30 minutes. Time slots will begin at 7:30 and end at 8:30. If you would like to reserve a time you can sign up on the clipboard located at the check in table. For or any questions please contact Liz Taylor.

Also make an extra effort to keep our pool and grounds neat and clean. A dumpster is available at the meets for garbage, so let’s clean as we go!
