No serious damage and effect from flood TPCH has two biomass power plants currently operating in Nakhon Si Thammarat province (CRB and TSG) and two power plants under construction in Phattalung and Satun province (PGP and SGP). So far, the two operating power plants have suffered no damage to the properties. CRB is still operating as usual with the feedstock level under control (15 days). However, the flooding has caused the utilization of TSG to drop from 9MW to 5MW (a decrease of almost 50%) over the past week. The construction of PGP and SGP has slowed down because of heavy rain (not flooding) but the overall progress is still within the plan. We are more concerned about the logistics in the area, which might affect both feedstock and the construction process. Nonetheless, the management said that there is still no serious issue about the transportation system at the moment since roads within the region remain in good condition.

Insignificant impact to our forecast We forecast 17E net profit at Bt422mn, +113%YoY, as the two power plants will operate for a full year. We estimate that the lower utilization of TSG will negatively impact its top line by Bt2.5mn to Bt5.0mn while the delay of the COD of the two power plants under construction is already factored into our forecast. We expect that the flooding will insignificantly impact our 17E net profit by 0.5% ‐ 1.0%.
Heavy rain anticipated during this week The Thai Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rain to continue in the southern area during 16th – 22nd January. Consequently, flooding should continue to be an issue until the situation subsides.
Catalyst from bidding for 400MW biomass power plants…Outperform ERC is expected to carry out the bidding for 400MW biomass power plants nationwide in 1Q17. Based on the last bidding (TPCH won three projects out of four), TPCH is very likely to win some projects. We estimate that TPCH’s current financial position can absorb another 40MW without raising new capital, which is only 10% of the total quota. This will keep the stock outperforming peers. We keep our TP at Bt19.60; Outperform.
