The Series Gettysburg seeks its first win over Haverford since 1998. The Fords lead the all-time series 37-4 and carry a 19-match winning streak against the Bullets. Last Meeting Haverford defeated Gettysburg 9-0 last season. The Fords came into the match ranked 13th in the region and won two of the three doubles matches 8-6. Haverford swept the top five singles matches. Jacob Meehan ’20 went the distance before falling to Eliot Faust in three sets 4-6, 7-5, 10-2 at No. 6. Last Time Out Gettysburg blanked McDaniel on Thursday. Junior Kevin Maier and freshman Tommy Gilio improved to 3-0 at No. 1 singles with an 8-6 win. Senior Christian Deschapelles and junior Nick D’Amore earned an 8-1 victory at No. 2 doubles. Deschapelles went on to a 6-2, 6-4 win at first singles, while D’Amore posted a 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-5) win at No. 2. Scouting Haverford...  Haverford enters today’s match ranked 12th in the Atlantic South Region. The Fords dropped a 7-2 decision to No. 19 Swarthmore on Tuesday. Dais Nakayama and Kevin Yan won 8-6 at No. 2 doubles, while Yan added a 6-0, 6-7 (4-7), 11-9 win at second singles. Josh Moskovitz is ranked 16th in the region and is 9-7 on the year. David Kong has compiled a 15-3 singles mark.

The Series The Fords have won the last nine meetings with the Bullets and lead the series 17-6. Gettysburg’s last victory was a 9-0 decision in 2007. Last Meeting Haverford, which was ranked 13th in the region, defeated a short-handed Gettysburg team 7-2 last spring. Maria Martinovic ’19 and Samantha Boardman ’20 each posted wins in third-set tiebreakers in singles play, the former winning 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 at No. 1 and the latter winning 0-6, 6-3, 10-8 at No. 2. The Fords earned forfeits at third doubles and fifth and sixth singles. Last Time Out Gettysburg pasted a 9-0 decision on McDaniel Thursday. The Bullets dropped only five games in doubles with the top tandem of sophomore Samantha Boardman and freshman Amanda Vinges winning 8-4. Boardman picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win at second singles and Vinges improved to 11-4 this season with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3. Scouting Haverford...  The Fords have won their last two matches in conference play. The team beat Dickinson 8-1 last weekend. Emily Shutman and Jane Bary won 8-3 at second doubles and posted wins at third (6-2, 6-2) and first (6-4, 6-3) singles, respectively. Bary is 11-3 in singles play, including 8-0 at No. 2, while Shutman is 12-7 overall.
