Opening Kick The Bullets take on a nationally-ranked opponent for the second time in eight days as they face No. 23 Haverford in a Centennial Conference matchup this evening. Tonight's game features the second- and third-ranked defenses in the conference, with Haverford posting a goals-against average of 0.63 goals-against average and Gettysburg holding a 0.73 GAA. The Series Haverford leads Gettysburg 20-6 in the all-time series that dates back to 1984. However, the Fords have captured the last three meetings, and the last two have been decided by a single goal. Last Time Out Senior Patrick Santini scored the game's lone goal while the Gettysburg defense posted its fourth shutout of the season as the Bullets captured a 1-0 victory at McDaniel in a Centennial Conference match Wednesday afternoon. The Bullets registered decided advantages in shots (16-5) and corner kicks (11-2) and limited the Green Terror to just one shot on goal. In the 50th minute, Santini struck for his team-leading ninth goal of the season - including his fifth game-winner - while sophomore Thomas Keane made his lone save in the 81st minute to earn his second shutout of the year. Last Meeting with Haverford Nick Jannelli scored the game-winning goal in the 93rd minute as the Fords defeated the Bullets 3-2 in overtime last season in Haverford. The Fords, ranked No. 8 at the time, never trailed and outshot Gettysburg 18-8. The Bullets tied the match twice, receiving goals from Henry Smith '17 in the 14th minute and Ezekiel Omosanya '20 in the 68th minute. Tejan Walcott (3') and Julian Bright

(45') each scored for Haverford, which received two saves from Sam Miller. Thomas Keane notched four stops for the Bullets. In the Rankings For the third week in a row to start the season, the Bullets have been ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Division III Mid-Atlantic Region poll, checking in at No. 7 this week after earning a No. 5 ranking in each of the first two polls. Gettysburg has also made the D3soccer.com Top-25 twice this season, topping out at No. 20 in the Week Two poll. Ticklin' the Twine Senior Patrick Santini has registered a big start for the Bullets, leading the team and ranking second in the Centennial Conference in goals (nine) and points (20). He is tied for 12th in Division III in goals per game (1.13) and tied for 13th in points per game (2.50). Santini has scored a goal in six of the team's eight matches and has registered two multi-goal performances, including a hat trick versus Washington College. Scouting the Fords  Haverford is 6-1-2 on the season following a scoreless draw at Muhlenberg this past Wednesday. Jeremy Astesano made five saves for the Fords, who held a 15-14 shot advantage.  Sophomore Nick Jannelli leads Haverford offensively and ranks third in the Centennial Conference with eight goals. He has registered three multi-goal outings already this season.  Astesano has played the majority of the minutes in goal for the Fords and ranks second in the Centennial Conference in both goals-against average (0.60) and save percentage (.861).
