Game Notes FIRST PITCH The Bullets return to Centennial Conference action this afternoon as they take on the Johns Hopkins University Blue Jays in a single nine-inning game. ALL-TIME SERIES Johns Hopkins holds a 54-51-1 lead in the all-time series that dates back to 1902. The Blue Jays have captured the last five meetings. LAST TIME OUT Gettysburg was swept by host Washington College in a Centennial Conference doubleheader this past Sunday, losing 8-3 in the opener and 12-5 in the nightcap. The Bullets registered 20 hits on the day, with senior Logan Sneed, sophomore Ryan LaCoe, and freshman Sean Murphy collecting three apiece. Sophomore Ryan Augustus belted his team-leading second home run of the season in the second game. LAST SEASON VERSUS JOHNS HOPKINS The Blue Jays captured three meetings versus the Bullets last year, winning twice in the regular season and once in the Centennial Conference playoffs. In the first game, the score was tied at 1-1 through seven innings of play before the home standing Blue Jays broke it open with a five-run eighth. Jack Havard ’20 registered a strong performance on the mound for Gettysburg, allowing just one run over 5 2/3 innings while coming away with a no-decision. Daniel Albert provided the big blow for Hopkins with a go-ahead three-run homer in the decisive eighth inning. Two days later in Gettysburg, the Blue Jays used another late-game homer to pull away, as Ryan Orgielewicz hit a solo shot in the top of the ninth to break a 5-5 tie en route to a 6-5 victory. Then in the first round of the CC tournament in Baltimore, Hopkins drilled three home runs in a fiverun fourth inning en route to a 13-4 victory. Connor Tom ’17 smacked a three-run homer for the Bullets while Orgielewicz, Tommy Mee, and Connor Reynolds all went deep for the Blue Jays.

Probst also leads the team in numerous offensive categories, including runs (19), hits (30), doubles (nine), triples (three), and RBIs (17). LEADING THE STAFF Senior Brad DeMartino has posted another solid start for the Bullets on the mound this season, leading the team in starts (six), innings pitched (31 1/3), and strikeouts (34). Among the Centennial Conference leaders, he is tied for seventh in strikeouts and tied for eighth in innings pitched. SCOUTING THE BLUE JAYS  The Blue Jays are 16-9 on the season after their 11-3 non-conference victory over Catholic yesterday. The bottom third of the lineup provided eight RBIs for Hopkins, including three apiece from freshman Austin Sacks and sophomore Dillon Bowman and two from sophomore Bradley Martin. Freshman Jonah Offman tossed 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn the win.  Senior Zach Jaffe (.351), junior Tim Kutcher (.347), and sophomore Mike Eberle (.319) are all batting over .300 for the Blue Jays. Johns Hopkins leads the Centennial Conference with 16 home runs for the season, with senior Alex Darwiche leading the way with four.  On the mound, senior Alex Ross has racked up a conference-leading 50 strikeouts over 37 1/3 innings while junior Sean McCracken has gone 4-1 over six starts. In addition, senior Nick Burns is 3-1 over seven appearances and four starts.
