Game Notes FIRST PITCH Gettysburg wraps up its season series with 15thranked Johns Hopkins this afternoon as the two sides face off in a single nine-inning game. ALL-TIME SERIES Johns Hopkins holds a 52-51-1 edge on the Bullets in the all-time series that dates all the way back to 1902. Gettysburg is looking for its first win over the Blue Jays since 2015, with Hopkins going 3-0-1 in the last four meetings. LAST TIME OUT Gettysburg and Johns Hopkins played to a 1-1 game through seven innings before the Blue Jays posted a five-run eighth en route to a 6-3 victory over the Bullets this past Wednesday in Baltimore. Senior Daniel Albert provided the big blow for Hopkins, delivering a three-run homer to make it a 4-1 game. The Blue Jays added two more runs in the inning before holding off a Gettysburg rally in the ninth, when the Bullets scored twice. But sophomore reliever Harrison Folk came on to get the final two outs to pick up the save. Making his first collegiate start, freshman Jack Havard registered a strong outing on the mound for the Bullets, allowing just one run on four hits over 5 1/3 innings. Junior Logan Sneed led Gettysburg at the plate, going 2-for-3, while classmate Chuck Probst singled to push his hitting streak to 31 games - the third-longest streak in Centennial Conference history. Seniors Jon Hayden and Tommy Mee collected two hits apiece for the Blue Jays while junior starter Nick Bodner also received a no-decision for Johns Hopkins, allowing only one run on four hits over 6 2/3 innings.

also helping himself with an outstanding defensive performance, posting 10 assists without an error. It was the first 10-assist game by a Bullet since shortstop Scott Zanghellini ’15 also had 10 in a win over McDaniel in 2014. It was also the second shutout in as many starts for Stopyra, who logged a nine-inning three-hitter versus Penn State Altoona on March 22. The right-hander was the first Bullet to twirl shutouts in back-to-back starts since Eric Hungerford ’15 tossed consecutive seven-inning shutouts in 2013. AMONG THE CONFERENCE LEADERS Several Bullets find themselves ranked among the Centennial Conference leaders in a statistical category heading into today’s game. Junior Chuck Probst is first in home runs (5, tied), triples (7), and slugging percentage (.783) and second in batting average (.452), runs (32), and RBIs (28). In addition, senior Chase Stopyra leads the conference in ERA (0.54) while classmate Aaron Bezio is tied for first in saves (4). SCOUTING THE BLUE JAYS  Johns Hopkins enters today’s game on a fourgame winning streak and is 9-1 over its last 10 games.  Earlier this season, the Blue Jays defeated the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the nation on the same day, beating No. 1 Cortland 6-5 and No. 2 Keystone 7-6.  Senior Ryan Orgielewicz leads Johns Hopkins in batting at .387 and is the conference leader in RBIs with 29. On the mound, junior Alex Ross is 2-2 and ranks second in the Centennial with 53 strikeouts over 40 1/3 innings.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK Gettysburg earned its third Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Week award when senior Chase Stopyra captured the honor this past Monday after firing a six-hit, nine-inning shutout in Gettysburg’s 6-0 victory over Washington College this past Saturday. He walked none and struck out four while
