Westfield Athletic Booster Club Meeting Minutes April 14, 2014 Present (10) Brad Harrison, Debbie Harrison, George Sanburn, Ernie Crawford, Andy Tebbe, Paul Leahy, Doug Luce, Beth Ellis, Shannon Russell, Nellie Beam Motion to Approve March meeting minutes – Beth Ellis, Nellie Beam 2nd motion. Note: Jeff Bredensteiner to speak with Bill McAfee, per previous minutes 3-10-14. Presidents Report – None Treasures Report – No motion taken to approve financials Athletic Director’s Reports WHS– Andy Tebbe Boy’s Golf and boy’s baseball ranked #1 in the state. Track had a good indoor season. Girls Softball had many games cancelled due to weather. Westfield Town Council Meeting April 28, at 7pm. Dr. Keen will present a request to the council for the stadium project donation. Bill Davis has asked for representation from WABC members and parent support at this meeting. WMS – Doug Luce
8th grade Girls Basketball won the Hamilton County Tournament. Spring Sports starting 4-15-14.
Spirit Clubs
Gridiron new president is Mick Trompen, 1st meeting April 23 in the cafeteria. Baseball mulch fundraiser had a profit of $3000. Sodexo was very helpful in providing warehouse space and forklift.
Committee Reports
WABC Golf Outing – Progress continues per Andy Tebbe. Anyone who wants to help is welcome. Event date is June 13, 2014.
Value Card – Andy Tebbe suggested that ALL teams participate in the fundraiser. He will discuss with Bill Davis and present at next WABC meeting. We will reach a larger number of athletes to sell the cards and also eliminate the need for other fundraisers. Membership – Shannon will have a revised 2014/2015 membership plan at next meeting, along with a new trifold. Shannon will speak at Gridiron meeting to encourage WABC membership. Shannon also will attend MS All Sport Meeting Website – Shannon will request an updated membership list from Bill M for Ernie to post on the website. Ernie updated website with Directors and officers names. Add website address to next meeting notes that Bonnie distributes to members.
