DIGGING DEEPER -How does the gift of salvation relate to the gift of church membership? -Why do many church members have a sense of entitlement? What does the Bible say about that? -How are Christians in both the universal church and in the local church? Why is this significant? -Read: Matthew 20:20-28. How does this story of Jesus rebuking His disciples relate to church membership? -Read: Mark 10:45. How does the work of Jesus inform our view of church membership? -Read: the Sixth Pledge, page 75.
