OPENING THE DISCUSSION -Book Discussion: “Befriend” Scott Sauls -Chapter 2 - “Befriend the One in the Mirror” -What was your “ONE THING” from Chapters 1-2?

DIGGING DEEPER -What keeps you from loving every kind of person whom Jesus loved? -Define “shame.” (see pgs. 11-12) -How does shame contribute to the limits you place on your love? -How has the gospel dealt with your shame? -How can belief in the Bible’s teaching on the image of God and the far-reaching love of God broaden your limits and open up your boundaries? -How does being loved impact how you love? (Read: 1 John 4:19; Zephaniah 3:17; John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 5:14-15)
MAKING APPLICATIONS -How does all of this stir the affections of your heart for Christ? -What is your take-a-way or truth to apply?
