Words To Profit Mastery - Product Sequence: (Lesson 4) Working with a publisher/partner/client

By Jonathan Green

Outlining a product sequence is something anyone can do to help increase their value as a product creator or simply as a ghostwriter. This step isn’t necessarily needed if all you’re doing is creating a single book or something for a client but it’s something to add to your toolbelt in an effort to boost your revenue over time. Assume you can offer to create bonus material or products which would be offered as an up-sale for the client’s main product, now think about what that would do for your reputation as a creator/contractor and your pockets. Always Be Sure Terms Are Clear Anytime you sign up to do work for a client it’s important to be sure all terms of the contract are laid out in no uncertain terms. It would be very unfortunate to think you were hired just to make the main product only to have the client assume you were also creating bonuses and things like that.

Interact With The Copywriter Making sure you know what will be in the actual sales page is important in many cases so you can implement certain key points into the product which will make it all congruent. You don’t need to spend hours on some meeting, just interface with them on what will be in the sales letter and get a feel for what you can put into the product. Understand The Big Picture Are there going to be up-sales? What about the number of bonuses offered, how many of those will be in the entire product sequence? Things like this are important to know so you can place yourself in a position to offer more than the typical ghostwriter, get yourself seen as an asset to the bigger picture and it will only help your career.

This is where proper planning and even list making comes in handy. It will allow you to see what you need to do, as well as keeping track of what is already done. Jonathan Green – www.ServeNoMaster.com

Rinse & Repeat Keep in mind that you may need to re-do phases 1 & 2 which were mentioned in the previous lesson for each new product you’ll be working on. So if you do manage to get assigned work on creating an up-sale item, or a bonus product then you’ll have to pretty much go back to the beginning and start all over again for each of these products. Doing this will typically be quicker and easier for each additional thing you make however for the simple fact that you’ve probably already done the bulk of the research during that initial phase 1 & 2. Gather Enough “Raw Material” In Your Research

In order to prevent writer’s block it’s important to gather more than enough data and information during your initial research phase. This will allow you to have more information than you need so you won’t need to keep going back and forth between research and writing. - Jonathan Green Jonathan Green – www.ServeNoMaster.com
