400 South Hope Street
SWA designed the plaza and gardens at the base of this 26-story office tower in the Bunker Hill Redevelopment Area in downtown Los Angeles. The entire project is constructed on a parking structure on a steeply sloping site. A series of ramps connects the building platform to the street and creates a small public park. A 270-foot reflecting pool along a major pedestrian promenade and a pedestrian plaza establish a strong public orientation of the project.
