Issue: Should the Village Council approve the Security and Landscape Assessment for FY 2017-18? Item Summary/Recommendation: The action before you now is to approve the Security and Landscape Assessment Rate sufficient to provide services within the gated community throughout the coming fiscal year. Below is a summary of rate alternatives and their impact on the FY 2018 anticipate expense and Security and Landscape fund balance : • Existing rate: $1,802 .00 requires $188,200 fund balance use; $2,675.75 balances the budget without the use of fund balance; • A rate of: and • A rate of: $3,600.00 generates $199,095 in excess revenue towards a future capital project . THE ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE RESOLUTION. Advisory Board Recommendation: The Village Budget Advisory Committee reviewed the analysis ofthe rate options at their July 11, 2017 meeting, and deferred the rate determination to the Village Council without an advisory recommendation for their consideration .
