Ball State Postgame Notes Toledo 58, Ball State 17 (Oct. 26, 2017) TEAM NOTES - With tonight’s loss, Ball State has now dropped four straight meetings against Toledo. The Rockets now lead the alltime series, 23-19-1.

OFFENSIVE NOTES - Redshirt freshman Zack Blair made his first career start at quarterback tonight. He is the third player to start at quarterback for the Cardinals this season. Riley Neal and Jack Milas started the previous games. This is the first time since 1998 Ball State has used three different starting quarterbacks. -

Redshirt freshman QB Drew Plitt made his first collegiate appearance after Zack Blair went down with an injury midway through the first quarter. Plitt scored his first collegiate touchdown on a fourth down run late in the third quarter.

RB Malik Dunner notched a 41-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Dunner leads the team with six touchdowns, two of which are longer than 40 yards.

DEFENSIVE NOTES

SPECIAL TEAMS - Since missing four of his first five field goals to start the season, junior K Morgan Hagee has made six straight, including one field goal today. Hagee ended the first half with a 43-yard field goal.
