Ball State Postgame Notes Northern Illinois 63, Ball State 17 (Nov. 9, 2017) TEAM NOTES - Northern Illinois retained the Bronze Stalk Trophy with the victory. The Huskies have now defeated Ball State in nine consecutive meetings.
OFFENSIVE NOTES - Redshirt sophomore WR Riley Miller tallied in his first collegiate touchdown reception in the first quarter. Redshirt freshman QB Drew Plitt connected with Miller for a 23-yard touchdown pass to even the score at 7-all. -
Redshirt freshman QB Drew Plitt made his second consecutive start. He played the first half before senior QB Jack Milas stepped in to lead the Cardinals in the second half.

Sophomore RB Malik Dunner scored his team-leading seventh touchdown on a five-yard run with 8:53 to go in the third quarter.
DEFENSIVE NOTES - Sophomore LB Jacob White notched his second career sack in the second quarter, which eventually led to a Northern Illinois punt. -
The defense made yet another stop on fourth down in the second quarter. The Cardinals have stopped eight of 11 fourth down attempts (72.7 percent) by the opposition this year.
