D’Angela stated that CFMU and the Mohawk radio station share a transmitter. CRTC guidelines say that all radio stations need to have an emergency broadcast system. The cost to purchase and install the equipment is around $5000, and the cost is split between CFMU and Mohawk. D’Angela stated that this equipment needed to be purchased to continue operating the radio station. Gillis asked if the equipment has already been purchased and now Mohawk is looking to split the costs. D’Angela stated nothing has been purchased yet, but the costs would be split.
