Step 1 — Case 

Power down the TiVo and detach the power cable from the rear of the unit.

 Wait 5 minutes for unit to discharge fully before proceeding to next step.

Using a Torx screwdriver, remove the five T10 screws from the rear of the case.

Pull the grey outer casing up and back toward yourself.
