14th September 2015 Dear Parent/Carer, I am pleased to inform you that I am organising a residential activity week for year 6 pupils. The 4 night residential will take place from Monday the 11th July until Friday the 15th July 2016. The trip will take place at ‘Peak Venture’; an approved Kingswood activity centre in the Peak District, and will provide pupils with the opportunity to take part in a number of adventure, water sport and team building exercises. These will include raft building, canoeing and high ropes activities. Peak Venture has established itself as one of the area’s leading residential educational activity centres. Situated on the doorstep of the beautiful Peak District, the centre offers secure, comfortable dormitory style accommodation and a myriad of water and woodland based adventure activities. Further information about the centre can be found at www.kingswood.co.uk. The total cost of the trip at this stage is approximately £380. This cost will be dependent on the number of pupils who wish to take part on this trip and the travel arrangements associated. This figure will include all travel expenses, accommodation, full board, expert instruction, insurance and specialist equipment hire. A non-refundable deposit will be needed by Friday 2nd October. At this moment in time all we are asking for is a statement of interest from you to ensure a smooth and fair opportunity to secure a place. We would like reply slips back expressing your interest by Wednesday 16th September.
