How to use your Scrub a dub dub Kit Sow: Mid April-June Place the compost blocks in the pot in an empty sink. Add water and watch the blocks grow like magic. Level the compost and push two seeds into the surface (you can use your other seeds in further pots or trays). Place on a warm windowsill but not direct sunshine (20-25°C 68-77°F). Keep moist and if two little plants appear, carefully remove one. Grow on a windowsill in a cooler room (18-20°C 64-68°F). When your plant is approximately 10-15cm (4-6") high in June-July, plant out either in a conservatory or on a sunny patio against a wall, 1-1½m (3-5') apart from other plants.

You will need to provide wire or cane supports as the plant grows upwards. Harvest your Scrub a dub dub Loofahs between mid August and October. Dry them in a cool, dry place. Then soak, peel and dry - leaving the dried loofah for bathtime! what your child can learn - Your child will learn elements of the National Curriculum including seed germination and plant growth.
