Sermon |Goodbye Colossians| Colossians 4:16-‐18 | Pastor Paul Vroom
Confession of Sin & Assurance of Pardon Leader: As we prepare to come to the Lord’s table, we come examining ourselves, asking for forgiveness from the ways in which we sin-‐ in thought, word, and deed – through what we have done wrong and where we have not followed your commands. People: We say that your grace is a free gift, but if we are honest with ourselves, we often live lives that try to earn your favor. Leader: Since the Fall in Genesis 3 all we deserve is death. The sin in our lives leaves us searching for someone or something to free us from the weight of our sin and brokenness. People: In our pursuit of everlasting peace, we ask that you, Lord, would free us from our relentless pursuits of this world. Help us to seek first your kingdom and your righteousness and live a life of worship that overflows in gratitude to the One who has saved us and freed us from sin. Leader: Now hear the good news – “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-‐9 Passing of the Peace | Words of Institution | Celebration of the Lord’s Supper Songs |How Deep the Father’s Love For Us & Your Grace Is Enough
