Just had playoffs this past weekend, winner and teams moving on to Section One play this upcoming weekend are: BU16 Alhambra, GU16‐ Alhambra and Temple City, GU19, Arcadia, BU19 Temple City. Had 1 parent and 1 player ejection, who may not be attendance first game of Section playoffs. This by far has been the smoothest running season so far, no rain out, no forfeited games because of team numbers. Schedule was great. Have asked for comments on what can be improved? Section Playoffs for upper division are moving to free substitution this season, teams to self‐track substitutions with field monitors checking.
A big thankyou to Peter for a smooth season. Referee Report: Scott Davis
190 games, 570 referee slots to cover and 4 slots went uncovered, so great job doen by all the regional assignors. 170 cautions, 18 send offs, this number is down from YDP, but up from last upper division season. 3 straight red cards, 5 for DOGSO all these mostly in BU16. We had no players banned as we had no fights this season. Region 40 led with 11 cautions. (see attached chart). Have been given 23 referee slots to cover at Section One playoffs, Area 1C filled all of them with National Referees, with huge compliments from Jody Kinsey from Section Staff. Have two new National Referees in Kareem Baddaruddin (13) and Acosta (88), congratulations. A referee from 908 completed all his assessment.

Have a few slate of referee classes coming up at the Section One Roadshow in January. U8 to Basic and also a Basic Referee class to be held by Region 214, December 12th at Arroyo Vista. Anne also going to do Makeup testing.
Scott reports that have had a good response to the Intermediate badge upgrade contest.
A big thank you to Scott as always, for getting reports out each week, not only letting us all know about the cautions, but also the injuries that need to reported to regions safety directors. Financial Report: Frank Bagheri.

Post Season Coordinator meeting help this past Monday at the Area 1C Clubhouse. It was well attended.
League Play through
League play through will have playing games during the week of December 16‐20, U12 being played at Dana Middle in Arcadia and the complex in Glendale, U10 games to be played at Arroyo North in South Pasadena. Sunday will have U14 and U12 final being played at Muir and U10 at Arroyo. Plan to have a tentative schedule out before thanksgiving, please make sure everyone checks for conflicts Scott to do referee assigning with the Regional assignors.
All‐Stars
December 15th –Deadline for teams, fields and referee names to qualify teams for All‐ Stars, also if you are playing down, the request and your reason for the request. Plans to have an all‐star calendar out before Christmas, this will be draft only, so please check asap, so changes can be made. This will not be for distribution. Final schedule to be published January. See attached Calendar, also posted on the Area 1C website.
Leo Nedeff tournament hosted by Glendale will be May 21/22 and June 4/5, Craig will be Tournament Director. Scott will do referee schedule and have out early too. Deadline to submit team referees will be December 30th along with final rosters.

Frances looking for nominations for Region and Volunteer of the year, if you have anyone or region in mind. Please write something up and submit to Jane to forward.
Area Report: Jane
The Standard Regional Guidelines will soon be the Standard Regional Policies and Protocols. Please see attached the addendum, these will be Mandatory by June 2016. Addendum A will be for any changes to the document itself, such as terms, playing time if more than ½ game etc. Addendum B will be for refund policies, Allstar selection, coach selection, Extra guidelines etc. Are rules will stay the same and not standardized at this time. Volunteers will be needed for the EXTRA playoffs to be graciously hosted by Region 214, on January 30/31 and February 6/7. Area staff to be available to help. Jane has asked Aldo to put together a committee for the succession planning of the Area Director position, Jane’s term to expire March 2017. Jane will be putting together a job description of time required and mandatory attendance needed. If you are interested in the position, you should contact Aldo. Jane was very appreciate of the support from everyone, to re‐up for another term. Jane asked if Area 1C would donate money to the Section One VIP program. Lisa motioned for $1000 and Al amended motion to increase to $2000 as we made a good amount of money on the Freeway Jam tournament. Was seconded and approved.
Regional Reports: Additional comments: Aldo is having talks with LA Galaxy, they are very interested in partnering with 1C and the VIP program. To have VIP games at half time, for high five line etc. Tom asked about dates for VIP program to run in March, hosted again by 214, flyer to be made asap and distributed. Yesenia handed out a list of training still required for the key board position required in the region, Thank you as everyone is mostly compliant. See attached document.

Region Reports: Region 2 – Peter Smock Regular season has ended and playoffs will begin Dec 5. We are sending 21 teams to various Thanksgiving tournaments including MST, Arroyo Seco, Cerritos, Huntington Beach and Chino. We are sending a BU‐14 team to the National Games. They finally got down to Tier 4. We are working on our annual Christmas Indoor Tournament held during the two weeks of Christmas vacation. Our GU‐19 team won the Area Championship. Aldo, happy to hear you will serving your 10th year of your two year term. R13 report – Al Prado Fall season winding down – No serious injuries… a noticing more cards… not sure if it’s the level of play, or refs carding more freely – we are looking into it Regular season wraps up this weekend – Region playoffs (all U10/12/14 teams make playoffs) on 12/5, 12/12 and 12/13…. As we prepare for 1/C playoffs No R13 UD teams made it to Section 1 playoffs – As of now, 1 team going to national games – BU16 MST around the corner…U10 àU14, no UD We are near capacity… And, will need refs… please let your refs know J Region 40‐ Mario Garcia
Our season will come to an end this weekend and playoffs will start the week after Thanksgiving. We do have teams that will be advancing to playoffs. We're starting to meet with our neighbor regions for the grad series. We have 4 teams going to the Turkey Tournament. All Stars In the next few weeks we will be working on the evaluations and reviewing coaches applications. Closing Ceremonies will be Dec 5th Finalizing the new Board for 2016 Region 60‐ Roland Morales Dave Jones will be at the meeting in my place. ‐final fall games this Saturday with championship games for GU10, Bu12, GU12, and GU14. ‐ Two teams (GU16 and BU16) will be at the Section One Playoffs. ‐ player ratings and all star selections under way for each division (u12 and U6 remaining) ‐ All Star coach selection will be done the week of 12/1 ‐ Grad players and coaches being identified for Grad Series. ‐ Closing ceremonies on 12/05 Region 88 ‐ Aldo Mascheroni Regon 88 is winding down its regular season and starting playoffs in some divisions this week. Upper Division playoffs will be done next week. We evaluated every player in the program last week and handed out Coach of the Year plaques to one person in each division (only coaches get to vote). Yearbooks will be ready Friday, trophies have been distributed to U5 thru U8. Gearing up for all‐stars.
About 130 R88 players will be marching in the Montrose Christmas Parade the first Saturday in December. Aldo Mascheroni has been reelected as RC and will continue to annoy all of you at least once a month for the next two years. Region 98‐ Dave Lemos Well let’s see; We are in the middle of our Playoffs (TC CUP) with the last games playing tonight and Friday. Soccerfest (Closing Ceremonies) This Saturday from 11am‐3pm We will have LA Galaxy, Lunch Trucks, Games and Trophies to hand out. We are trying to get Live Oak Park for Spring a U14 and U12 Field. We should know by Mid December Oak Avenue is good for 1 or 2 fields U10 Coaches thank you Dinner scheduled for December 2nd Board Christmas Party scheduled for December 8th Mike will represent Region 98 tonight, Partners are out from Chicago. This weekend will be our finals for our U‐10B and U‐12B ending our Fall season. Missed the Post Season Coordinators meeting.. Confused by the date.. Volunteer Dinner pending.
