If  a  student-‐athlete  writes  or  marks  in  a  new  book,  then  drops  the  course,  the  student-‐athlete  will  not  be  permitted   to   return   the   textbook   at   a   new   book   rate.   (Note:   Student-‐athletes   are   encouraged   not   write   in   the   textbook   until   they  have  attended  a  class,  and  know  they  are  not  dropping  the  course.)   7. Student-‐athletes  will  be  issued  used  books  when  available.   8. If  a  textbook  is  lost,  or  damaged,  the  student-‐athlete  is  responsible  for  the  replacement  value.  If  a  textbook  is  stolen,   student-‐athletes   must   file   a   stolen   textbook   report   with   the   Campus   Police   Department.   They   must   immediately   notify  the  Athletics  Compliance  Office  and  present  a  copy  of  the  police  report.  Student-‐athletes  will  not  be  permitted   to   charge   a   second   textbook   until   the   report   has   been   filed   and   permission   granted   by   the   Athletics   Compliance   Office.   9.
