Betts Travis Peak Package 2 Producing Royalty Interest Wells Leon County, Texas
Betts Travis Peak Package The wells in this package are in the Travis Peak formation, located in Leon County, Texas. The Travis Peak formation is located in eastern Texas and extends into southern Arkansas and northern Louisiana and Mississippi. It is a large reservoir of natural gas within low permeability sandstones, and is generally classified as a tight gas play. Operators in the Travis Peak typically develop other tight gas plays in the area, such as the Haynesville or Cotton Valley plays. The past 6 months have seen 9 new permits to drill in Nacogdoches County, with two active rigs just south of the subject acreage. While most development in the county has centered around the Haynesville recently, the Travis Peak has seen development by operator of the subject well Tanos Exploration II, just a couple of miles northeast.
