31st Annual National Night Out Kick-Off and Crime Fighter of the Year Award Ceremony INDIANAPOLIS – National Night Out, “America’s Night Out Against Crime,” will kick-off tomorrow with an award ceremony honoring the 2014 Crime Fighters of the Year. Each Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) District and the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office selected a member of the community who embodies the meaning of police-community partnerships and who has a strong commitment to improving their neighborhoods. The IMPD encourages every resident of Marion County to turn on their porch lights, meet your neighbors, visit with your police officers and participate in the many block parties, cookouts, parades, neighborhood walks, and meetings.
