“Brethren, pray for us.” 1 Thessalonians 5:25 There is a Season of Anxiety that seems to begin in November and lasts until the celebration of the New Year. So much to do and so many places to be in such a short period of time. It is so easy to become overwhelmed with everything and enjoy very little. Here is something I’ve been thinking about getting ready for this year’s Season of Anxiety. The Bible Says: “Rejoice in the Lord alway: [and] again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord [is] at hand.” Philippians 4:4-5 This year Lord, I’m going to be rejoicing in You! The Bible Says: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 This year I’m going to stop worrying about what everyone thinks and trust God to show me the steps I need to take and the things I need to do. The Bible Says: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8 This year will be great as I focus on what is good and let go of the negative. Try it, what do you have to lose but a season of anxiety? By the way if you’re already in a panic over the perfect gift, it was already given, His name is Jesus Christ and He can still be received today! But more about the perfect gift next month.

Helping Other People Excel

Rev. John Triplett Associate Director of Missions

Food distributed: 20,437 lbs Families served: 367 Individuals served: 1153

Greetings from Hope Ministries In the book of Matthew Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” This time of year, I have a heavy burden about two things: First is for families that are not able to provide Christmas for their children. The second thing is the homeless that we serve. The Bible teaches us that we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus. So, when we have people come to us in need, we as followers of Christ Jesus, have an obligation to try to lift the heavy-burdened and give them some rest. We will serve over 500 families and 1,500 children with Christmas again this year. We need your help. You can sponsor a child for only $60. By sponsoring children, you have given rest to someone. My second burden is a homeless population that we serve. On any day Hope Ministry is open, we will have 3 or 4 homeless individuals walk through our door seeking help. No less than one or more families come each week seeking refuge. If your heart is burdened for the homeless situations, it costs $160.00 to put an individual in a room for a week. $260.00 to put a family of four in a room for a week. As I have shared my burdens with you, I ask for your prayers for these two Outreach Ministries. Thank you for praying and seeking the Lord’s direction on ways we can partner together to continue to serve our community. Thank you for giving so we can bless others in the name of Jesus Christ. John Triplett
