CAMP EXPECTATIONS

NAME_____________________________________

Good conduct will be expected from every Yorkville soccer player and camper. We are proud of our athletes on and off the field, and particularly proud of the program’s growth. Our staff will demand outstanding sportsmanship, behavior and effort every day at the camp. Any camper may be asked to leave camp for behavior deemed detrimental to the team, the camp, and the program. Camp will be fun, but we as coaches take this time very seriously and expect the same in return from every athlete.

GOAL STATEMENT To create a common understanding to the future high school soccer athletes of the expectations and philosophies that they will encounter upon entering the JV and varsity levels. With both middle school and high school coaches coordinating the camp, a curriculum of skills will be implemented in hopes of creating a true understanding by every player of the necessary skills and conditioning necessary to earn a spot in our program, either as a middle school athlete or a future high school player. All enthusiastic players who are interested in learning our system are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Attending camp does not guarantee a spot on the team in the fall (or spring) and does not guarantee players will participate in all summer league games. Both boys and girls are welcome to this camp. Camp is for players who want to improve their soccer skills and who would like to work on soccer technique and soccer-related training through small-group instruction. All athletes must wear shin guards, soccer cleats and bring their own water. If you do not have cleats, athletic shoes are acceptable but are a risk. Athletes without shin guards will not be allowed to participate in camp activities.
