Class Information: Vintage Rose is the 4th Judy Niemeyer/Quiltworx Technique of the Month Paper Pieced Quilt published in January 2017. It uses many current paper piecing techniques developed by Quiltworx. There are 7 classes for this quilt, each covering one or more techniques. We will use Quiltster to color our quilts in the first class.

Please have an idea of the colors

that you would like to use in your quilt. The dates and classes will include: (outlined for a Queen size quilt) February 25, 2017 - Class 1 – Booklet 1- Introduction; Quiltster to color our quilts prior to picking fabric, pattern prep, cutting and organizing March 18, 2017 – Class 2 – Booklet 2 – Group A, Unit A Center Star; Booklet 4 – Group C, Unit C Flying Geese April 22, 2017 - Class 3 – Booklet 3 – Group B, Unit S1-S4 Rosebud; T-Template B1 & B2, Unit B1 & B2; B3 & B4 May 20, 2017 - Class 4 – Booklet 5 - Group D, Unit D1-D3 New York Beauty & Rose Tip; Booklet 7 – Group F, Unit F1, F2L, F2R, F3L, F3R, F4L & F4R Swags June 17, 2017 - Class 5 –Booklet 6 – Group E, T-Template E1-E10 Inner Borders; Booklet 7 – TP 260, 261, 262, 288 July 15, 2017 - Class 6 – Assembly Groups A, B, C, D & E and Catchup August 19, 2017 - Class 7 –Assembly Group F and final assembly During class, you will learn the paper piecing technique and then go home to complete the units. The last class will be assembling the quilt top. The classes will be a month or so apart to allow plenty of time to complete the units prior to the next class. A good rule of thumb is to purchase additional fabric in each color. I will generally round up fabric yardage to the next quarter yard. This is just in case you run short or for mistakes that can happen while cutting or piecing. Save your scraps – you could possibly need them later.
