Exec Workshop: VP Internal All executives (Jr and Sr alike) are welcome to join us on February 9 at 10:00 am or 3:00 pm in Workroom 7 to share tips and tricks useful for your club’s VP Internal. We’ll cover volunteer management, communications, elections, governance, meetings, and more! Free food will be provided courtesy of our awesome friends at ATB Financial! Club Spotlight Congratulations to this week’s Spotlight Club, the Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA). Info on their upcoming Spotlight event, Chinese New Year Gala, and on the club can be found on ClubHub or on their Facebook page! Want to find more on-campus, open-to-everyone, and awesome events or have your club featured here? Spotlight clubs are each awarded $100 to spend on an upcoming event! A full list of upcoming spotlight events from all clubs and details can be found on the SU Clubs Calendar page.
Scholarships & Awards So your club is pretty rad, and so are the execs that make everything happen. The SU wants to help you recognize this excellence with Club Awards and Scholarships. There’s also an awards banquet on April 5 for the winners! There are 14 categories of club award that anyone can nominate any club for using this ClubHub form (nominations are due February 28). Applications for the Eric Lahoda Memorial SU Clubs Scholarship are due February 21 using this ClubHub form.
Snail Mail! While direct deposit has revolutionized the reimbursement business, clubs that still receive paper bank statements, solid-state salutations, and subscriptions need to pick up their mail from the Clubs Office. All clubs have a mailbox, so drop by to check yours today!
SU Elections Being a club executive prepares you for a lot. Take your involvement to the next level! Run to be an SU Faculty Rep or Executive in the 2017 general election! Nomination packages, campaign information, and a full schedule of dates and deadlines can be found at: su.ucalgary.ca/elections All SU Clubs spaces are NO CAMPAIGN ZONES. No campaigning, planning, postermaking, storage, or other election-related activities are allowed.
