(Photo Courtesy Gerry Raymonda/Hartwick Athletics) DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Corvias ECAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week for the week ending Jan. 10. DIVISION I Player of the Week Quenton DeCosey – Temple University, Sr., Guard, Union, N.J. DeCosey averaged 19.5 points and 3.0 assists per game in an undefeated week for Temple. The senior led the Owls with 15 points in a road win at No. 23/24 UConn on Tuesday. He scored a game-high 24 points in Saturday’s win over East Carolina to move the Owls to 3-1 in league play. DeCosey shot 52-percent (14-of-27) from the field last week and 73percent (8-of-11) from 3-point range.   Rookie of the Week Evan Boudreaux – Dartmouth College, Fr., Forward, Lake Forest, Ill.  Boudreaux put together another stellar week for the Big Green. He began the week by scoring 18 points in a road loss at Fairfield, while tying for team-high honors with seven rebounds. The forward then registered his fourth double-double of the season with 21 points and a game-high 10 rebounds in the Ivy League opener at Harvard. For the week, the freshman shot 52.0 percent from the floor, 50 percent behind the three-point arc and 91.7 percent at the foul line.   DIVISION II Player of the Week Desmond Williams – Southern Connecticut State University, Sr., Guard, Torrington, Conn. Williams averaged a double-double for Southern Connecticut this past week in helping the Owls to two wins. He averaged 24.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 3.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game in two NE-10 wins against Saint Michael’s and Stonehill. Against Stonehill on Saturday, he scored 30 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in the Owls’ 94-78 win.   Rookie of the Week Ryan Peterson – Pace University, Fr., Guard, Wethersfield, Conn.  Peterson had yet another stellar week for the Setters, who went 2-1 in a trio of games. He averaged 17.3 points and scored double-digit points in each game. He also averaged 7.0 rebounds per game. His best game of the week was on Monday when he netted 23 points, and pulled down eight rebounds in Pace’s win over NYIT.   DIVISION III New England Player of the Week Ed Ogundeko – Trinity College, Jr., Forward/Center, Brooklyn, N.Y. Ogundeko averaged 19.7 points and 14.3 rebounds over three games, as Trinity downed Elms, 92-63, and Williams, 76-75,

after opening the week with an 81-73 loss at Plattsburgh State. Ogundeko had a double-double each contest with 19 points and 17 rebounds at Plattsburgh State, 19 points and 15 boards versus Elms and 21 points and 11 board against Williams. He also blocked two shots against both Plattsburgh State and Elms, and shot 65.8 percent from the field (25-38) in the three games.   Rookie of the Week Mikey Pettway – Western New England University, Fr., Guard, Bridgeport, Conn.  Pettway led WNE with 20.7 points per game over three contests last week, including a pair of 20-plus point games. The firstyear player started off the week with 13 points against Wentworth on Tuesday (Jan. 5) in a game in which he also added seven assists. He then contributed 20 points and nine rebounds in a win over Nichols on Thursday (Jan. 7) before scoring a season-high 29 points against Endicott on Saturday (Jan. 9). Pettway shot 55 percent (22-for-40) for the week and also averaged 5.0 rebound and 5.0 assists per game.    DIVISION III Upstate Player of the Week Joey Lufkin – Hartwick College, Jr., Guard, Argyle, N.Y. Lufkin averaged 29 points in a 2-0 week for the Hawks and eclipsed the 1,000-career point milestone. He shot 52 percent from the floor (17 of 33) in the two games, including 44 percent (7-of-16) from three-point range and 77 percent (17-of-22) from the foul line and averaged four assists and three rebounds. Lufkin had a career-high 31 points and four assists against Houghton Tuesday. Against Stevens, Lufkin scored a game-high 27 points and scored his 1,000-point becoming the 31st player in Hartwick history to reach the milestone.   Rookie of the Week Tyler Stenglein – Nazareth College, So., Guard, Rochester, N.Y.  Stenglein helped Nazareth win three conference road games as he averaged 15.3 points and six assists for the week. He went 6-for-13 for 15 points and dished out five assists in a 90-65 win over Ithaca on Tuesday. Nazareth edged Alfred 72-70 on Friday after Stenglein scored 18 points (7-14) and added three assists. He finished the week with a career-high 10 assists and 13 points in a win over Elmira Saturday.   DIVISION III Metro Player of the Week Chimaechi Ekekeugbor – Baruch College, So., Forward, Matawan, N.J. Ekekeugbor averaged 22.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, shooting 66.7 percent from the floor for Baruch in a two-win week for the Bearcats. The sophomore went 9-11 from the floor, scoring 21 points and grabbing six rebounds in a win over John Jay. The sophomore then notched a double-double in a big conference victory over No. 24 Brooklyn College, scoring 23 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Rookie of the Week

James Frazier – New Jersey City University, Fr., Forward, Elizabeth, N.J.  Frazier averaged 19.0 points per game, 3.0 rebounds per game, and 1.0 assist per game in a 1-1 week. He went 7-for-13 from the field en route to a career-high 24 points in 22 minutes in a comeback road win at Stockton. He then added 14 points in 17 minutes, including a 7-for-8 showing at the free throw line, in a tight 76-74 loss to TCNJ. He leads the Gothic Knights in scoring with 17.0 ppg in his first four collegiate games since joining the squad mid-season.   DIVISION III South Player of the Week Tyheim Monroe – Cabrini College, So., Forward, Philadelphia, Pa. Monroe led the Cavaliers to a 3-0 week with 21 points and 17 rebounds per game, extending his NCAA DIII-best doubledouble streak to 11 games. The sophomore paired 21 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Cairn before recording 28 points and 21 boards to lead Cabrini to an 80-72 win at Keystone. Monroe closed the week with 14 points, 18 rebounds and six assists in a win over Centenary.   Rookie of the Week Jason Kenny – Misericordia University, Fr., Guard, Dickson City, Pa. Kenny had a game-high 21 points to lead Misericordia to an 81-67 win over Division II Mansfield University. The freshman shot 7-of-12 from the floor, including a solid 4-for-6 effort from behind the arc in the win.
