Exciting News and Events
As adults, the snow can often be a nuisance, but the kids sure do love it! We would like to remind everyone that we do go outside for recess when the temperature and real feel is 10 degrees or higher. Please make sure your child has winter boots, ski pants, gloves, a jacket and a hat for playing outside. We also encourage parents to pack sneakers for students to wear inside the building.

Fun Fact! RSU 19 now has its own app! Download the RSU 19 app today to get the latest information about what is happening in our schools! In addition to providing you with dates of upcoming events and school news, it has other convenient features as well. One of my personal favorite features is the weekly lunch menu. It’s so easy to use. Go to the menu, select dining and it gives you the lunch menu for that school week at the touch of a button! To download the RSU 19 app, go to your app store, search RSU 19 (leave a space between RSU and the 19) and select to download. Best of all, it’s free!
We would like to thank the Trading Post for the generous donation of hats and mittens. They are already being put to great use keeping our students warm as they enjoy the snow.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION NEWS… Students in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade have been participating in a striking game called foursquare. Foursquare has a long history of being a great childhood hand-eye coordination game and is played on playgrounds around the world every day. It is a game that has been around since at least the 1950s and kids are still enjoying it today.
