Dear Parents/Guardians, Happy Monday. We would like to thank everyone for the wonderful Back to School Night. The information packets for Back to School Night were placed in the student backpacks for any of the families who were unable to attend the meeting. Please return the Koob’s Nature Center permission slip to the teachers as soon as possible. The Koob’s Nature Center is a small area of gated land, which is located directly across from the main office. Our class will walk to Koob’s to do outside lessons and observations of nature throughout the year. The permission slip is good for the whole school year. I have also included the order forms if anyone wishes to purchase a dolphin class shirt. Students will begin their work plans this week. A work plan is a list of jobs that a student may complete during the week. Our class work plan will have one side for the teachers to sign off the jobs a student has completed and the back side for teacher comments. Please remember a student may be working very well even if all the jobs are not signed off in one week. Finally, we are looking for a volunteer to become the classroom parent. Room parents usually work on special projects within the classroom. They also represent the Dolphin class when planning and coordinating campus events such as the Harvest Festival and Spring Basket Raffle. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Ms. Ann. September 9/1 – CAC Meeting @ 5:30 pm 9/2 – Pancake Breakfast 7:15 am – 8:15 am 9/2 – Angry Birds Movie @ 7:30 pm (Free popcorn is provided)

Me Museum Weeks: The “Me Museum” is the name of the display case that features items brought in by the friend of the week. We will draw names this week so that each student will know which week is his/her turn to be the friend of the week. A copy of the list will be sent home on Monday, August 29th. We will begin using the “Me Museum” Monday, September 12th.
