It was a dominant performance by the Edgewood College men’s soccer team and Garrett Lee, who scored four times, on both sides of the pitch as the Eagles won a pair of home matches by the combined score of 9-0 over Lakeland and Concordia Chicago last week. After opening the conference season with three tough losses to some of the NACC’s heavy hitters, the Eagles took out their frustrations on Lakeland University. The Eagles dominated the game from the beginning and rolled to a 5-0 victory. Edgewood College wasted no time getting on the board, scoring in the fourth minute. Sean Surtees and Henry Simon connected on a 1-2 pass, and then slid the ball in front to Garrett Lee who pounded the ball into the roof of the net for a 1-0 Eagles lead. Lee later scored in the 19th, followed by a trio of scores by Jordan Stark, who had a highlight goal after juking three defenders, and two more by Nicholas Bilodeau. Eagle goalkeeper Brandyn Storhoff made five saves to earn his first career shutout and helped the Eagles outshoot the Muskies 40-6 for the game. Freshman Jordan Stark became the first Eagle since 2013 to distribute three assists and led the Edgewood College men’s soccer team to a 3-0 shutout over Concordia Chicago on Saturday afternoon. Garrett Lee scored twice and Nicholas Bilodeau once as the pair were on the receiving end of Stark’s timely passes.
