Coaching staff on site for practice, matches and events b. Certified/Licensed Athletic Trainer on-call for practices and on-site for matches 2. Emergency Communication a. Mobile telephone with certified/licensed athletic trainer (When present) b. Alico Athletic Training Room located in room #105 Alico Arena (239.590.7056) c. Administrative offices located on 3rd floor of Alico Arena (239.590.7012) 3. Emergency Equipment a. First aid field kits available in Alico Athletic Training Room b. Emergency equipment including splints and oxygen located in the Alico Athletic Training Room in #105 Alico Arena c. AED located in the Alico Athletic Training Room in # 105 Alico Arena 4. Role of First Responders a. Immediate care of the injured or ill student-athlete b. Emergency equipment retrieval c. Activation of the emergency medical system (EMS through campus police) i. Call 239.590.1911 (provide name, address, telephone number, number of individuals injured, condition of injured, first aid treatment, specific directions, other information as requested. Be the last to hang up ii. Indicate venue d. Direction of EMS to scene i. Designate an individual to unlock/open appropriate gates ii. Designate an individual to “flag down” EMS and direct to scene iii. Scene control: limit scene to first aid providers and move bystanders away from the area 5. Venue Location a. Take main campus entrance off of Ben Hill Griffin Pkwy b. Take first left on Loop Road c. Take first left on North Drive d. Take first right on FGCU Lake Pkwy. East e.
