Supplies: "FUNKY STRIPES" pattern -- Alison Quilt Designs -- REQUIRED

Fabric requirements on back of pattern, depending on size of quilt you are making. Must use WOF rather than FQ for this quilt. For variety of fabrics within quilt, you must use multiples of 6" strips of prints. Stripe fabrics must be 1 1/4 yard so strips can be cut with stripe running lengthwise. Best press or magic sizing spray -- strongly recommended as you will be working with bias and these help decrease stretching.

10 1/2" or 12 1/2" square ruler is very helpful in squaring up blocks, PLUS a 90 degree triangle ruler (one of these square rulers with a marked diagonal line will work for this purpose) Sewing machine, with foot pedal and power cord, in working order (BE FAMILIAR WITH OPERATION OF YOUR MACHINE (changing bobbin and needle, moving needle, sewing accurate 1/4" seam); rotary cutter with new blade; seam ripper; scissors; pins; neutral piecing thread; marking chalk or pen.

Before class: read through pattern. Pair up each print fabric with one of the stripes (more than one print can be used with each stripe; indeed pattern recommends using 2 stripes and several light and dark large print fabrics).
